Information Sharing & Risk Assessment for Survivors Experiencing Multiple Disadvantage
This training helps participants respond to domestic abuse concerns by sharing information safely, maintaining trust with service users, and challenging gatekeeping by other agencies. It also introduces the use of the DASH Risk Identification Checklist (RIC) with service users experiencing multiple disadvantage.
Description
This interactive training equips professionals with the knowledge and confidence to respond effectively when there are concerns about domestic abuse, particularly in the context of service users facing multiple disadvantage. Participants will explore safe and appropriate ways to seek and share information, while ensuring service user relationships are maintained with trust and transparency. The session also focuses on how to challenge barriers to information sharing, including holding partner agencies to account when gatekeeping inhibits effective safeguarding. In addition, learners will gain an introductory understanding of the DASH Risk Identification Checklist (RIC) and how to apply it sensitively in their practice with service users experiencing complex and overlapping needs.
Learning objectives
By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:
- Take steps to seek and share information when you are concerned there may be domestic abuse
- Identify strategies to maintain the relationship with your service user when you need to share their private information.
- Take action to hold other agencies to account if they gatekeep information that inhibits effective information sharing.
- Gain understanding of how to use the DASH RIC with service user's experiencing Multiple Disadvantage.

All online training fees are for up to 20 delegates (minimum 6 delegates to run a course).
DAHA prefer to cap online attendance at 20 to ensure all delegates feel able to fully engage. However, we can accommodate a maximum of 5 additional delegates upon request at a cost of £65 pp
