Coordinated Community Response (CCR) Leaders Course

This course aims to increase the skills and expertise of professionals, including statutory commissioners, coordinators, strategic leads and policy makers, who are responsible for leading and coordinating responses to domestic abuse (DA) and other forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG).

Description

The CCR Leaders course will increase the skills and expertise of professionals working at a strategic level, in DA/VAWG coordination. The improved competencies and skills of DA/VAWG Coordinators will have a positive impact on local and national responses to DA/VAWG, ultimately ensuring that survivors of DA/VAWG receive better and more effective support.

Learning objectives

By the end of this session, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the dynamics of domestic abuse, other forms of violence against women and relevant legislation  
  • Understand the key components of best practice when responding to VAWG  
  • Understand local and national strategy for VAWG  
  • Understand VAWG governance structures  
  • Understand the key principles of best practice around commissioning services for sustainability.

This is a NCFE-accredited Level 4 course

Live online training is delivered via Teams

Course Timings

This course contains 3 Modules and is 9 days over 3 months.

This includes comfort breaks, space for questions and time for the delegates to evaluate and reflect after the delivery.

Please note that as this is a Level 4 course, there is coursework that must be completed, submitted and criteria met to gain the Level 4 Certificate. It is important that additional time is supported by managers to enable delegates to complete this work, in addition to the 9 days.
